If your accommodation contract is with one of our approved accommodation partners, you’ll need to make payments to that company directly. Full details will have been provided when you accepted your accommodation contract but if you need further assistance then please speak to your residence reception team.

Accommodation Charges

The rent prices for our residences are listed on our All Accommodation Options page.

The following information is applicable to contracts issued by the University only. If you have accepted a contract via one of our approved accommodation partners then please speak to them directly about any payment queries.

  • You must pay your university accommodation charges on or before the due dates set out in your accommodation agreement. Late fee charges, as stated in the University’s Fees Regulations, will apply for arrears.
  • Serious or persistent arrears are considered a breach of your accommodation agreement, which could lead to its termination.
  • Disciplinary regulations and procedures apply to students who owe accommodation charges or other payments in relation to the accommodation agreement. The University shall, by these Regulations, warn residents that in accordance with the University’s Ordinance, no person shall be eligible for any award by the University unless all fees, charges, dues and fines owing to the University have been paid in full.
  • Please contact the SID team if you have questions about paying accommodation charges. Details about how to pay can be read here
  • The University is not required to repay pre-paid charges except as set out in the University’s accommodation agreement or in these Regulations. The University shall not act as guarantor or pay charges for any student living in privately-owned or leased accommodation.
  • No invoices will be issued as the amounts and payment dates are outlined in your accommodation offer, which is available to view within your online accommodation account. Once you have registered as a student you will be able to view your Online Statement. It is your responsibility to review your statement to confirm that all payments due have been made, and this can be done through Student Finance and viewing your SSMS account through the Online Statement link. You can also refer to the Online Student Statement guide for help navigating the Online statement.
