Moving On
Supporting the British Heart Foundation to continue its leading work in fighting coronary heart disease
The Moving On project redirects unwanted items that have been donated by students leaving Halls to charity, raising funds and reducing environmental impacts by diverting items from waste and recycling.
Between 2014 and 2022, this scheme has seen over £300,000 raised for charity and over 1,000 tonnes CO2 equivalent diverted from landfill.
Donation points are permanent fixtures on campus that can be utilised all year round.
The average student generates between 10-20kg of reusable items a year, including stationery, kitchen appliances, books, clothes and bedding.
